Costco Canada has issued a recall for a kettle over possible spillage from faulty handles.
Visit chickenroad.qpon for more information.
The Zwilling Enfinigy Electric Kettle Pro 1.5L, which is sold as part of a small appliance bundle, has been voluntarily recalled by Zwilling JA Henckels Canada Ltd.
“The handle of the water kettles may loosen or break off entirely during use,” the company said. “In isolated cases, the product defect may cause hot water to spill from the kettle, creating a risk of scalding injuries to the user or bystanders in the immediate area, including small children.”
As of May 13, Zwilling had received 21 reports of incidents in Canada including one report of potential injury.
Ninety-six incidents have been received in the United States, along with one report of potential injury.
Which bundles are affected?
The impacted product bundles were sold between October 2022 and January 2026, according to a notice on Costco’s website.
The two bundles affected are the Enfinigy Kettle Pro 1.5 L, Mugs and Towel bundle (item #1664609) and the Enfinigy Kettle Pro 1.5 L, Toaster and Scale bundle (#1663356).
The kettle model number, which applies to both bundles, is 1016121.
Customers have been advised to stop using the kettle, which can be returned to any Costco warehouse for a full refund.
