How the NFL World Reacted to Paraguay’s Own Goal vs. the USA at the World Cup

Filled with fans, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles saw the USA dictating the pace and terms initially. Then, around the seventh-minute mark, Christian Pulisic cut through the Paraguay defenders and played the ball into the box.

Weston McKennie got a touch on the pass before it fell to Paraguayan midfielder Damián Bobadilla, who inadvertently deflected it into his own net. The officials ruled it an own goal for Paraguay. The stadium instantly burst into celebration, and the reaction on social media was instant.
