One current Arizona Cardinals player and one recent former Cardinals player made the roster.
TE Trey McBride is the starting tight end. McBride was a first-team All-Pro and finished the season second in the NFL with 126 receptions. While he signed a four-year, $76 million extension last offseason, his cap hit in 2026 is only $8.7 million.
The former Cardinals players to make the roster is quarterback Kyler Murray, now with the Minnesota Vikings.
Murray is the backup quarterback to Patrick Mahomes.
Why? He can be a top-10 quarterback while only counting $1.3 million against the cap for the Vikings, as the Cardinals are carrying a ton of dead money.
