The Kentucky Wildcats’ 2026-27 men’s basketball schedule continues to take shape, and we just learned of one of the biggest matchups for next season.
On Thursday, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports and College Hoops Today broke the news of who will make up this year’s SEC/ACC Challenge. The two-day event will feature Kentucky playing at Virginia on Wednesday, December 2nd. It’s one of five challenge matchups happening that day, with 11 happening on Tuesday, December 1st.

The Cavaliers are coming off a strong debut season for head coach Ryan Odom, as they finished 30-6 and narrowly lost to Tennessee in the Round of 32. They’re widely projected as a top-15 team entering next season, so this will be a major challenge for the Wildcats.
The Rothstein 45 has the Cavaliers ranked No. 9.
