As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter and Liverpool have advanced talks over a move for Curtis Jones this summer.
The sporting directors of the two clubs, Inter’s Piero Ausilio and Liverpool’s Richard Hughes, recently met in Monte Conte and held preliminary talks for the 25-year-old.

Inter’s interest in Jones goes back a fair few months, and the England international also looks keen on a move away from Anfield, having been stalling talks with the Reds over an extension of his £50k-per-week contract, which is currently set to expire next summer.
While no price tag has been revealed yet, the two parties look keen to get a deal done early.
Jones heading for an early exit
Curtis Jones’ versatility has been on the forefront even more towards the back end of the season, with Liverpool’s injury issues resulting in him starting games off the right.
While the club may yet want to hold on to their academy graduate, it is evident that he too thinks a move away from Merseyside would help his career. At 25, he has the opportunity to become more than a bit-part player.
While Liverpool keep looking elsewhere for their midfield issues, with Inter he has the chance to achieve that and elevate his profile, something he will be even more keen on after missing out on England’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, with his eyes set on the 2028 Euros.
All signs point to a move that should be finalised in the early weeks of the off-season transfer window.
