And with the pair continuing to be linked together, “El Matador” has gone in on the Armenian, calling him a “man-child” and touching on his family wealth.

When Topuria first heard that Tsarukyan would be in the backup role, he was quick to dismiss it, saying he didn’t care who stepped into the cage with him on June 14.
But as fight night draws closer, Topuria has taken aim at Tsarukyan once again. He’s called him a ‘man child’ and questioned whether he’s as wealthy as he lets on.
“He has the mind of a little kid, you know?” Topuria told Alvaro Colmenero. “He’s a man child who is playing a game.”
“I think he’s playing the rich guy game and he’s neither rich nor is his father,” Topuria continued. “I’m telling you.”
Tsrukyan has heard plenty of talk about his family wealth throughout his career, with opponents often using it to try to get under his skin. But in truth, most fans see it more as an observation than any kind of criticism.
“I know a huge amount of rich people,” said Topuria. “None of them – not a single one – is like that, you know? He’s playing a game of buying a car and sending it to Russia and reselling it. And I think he’s not even rich.”
“I’m telling you for real: He’s like a loser.”
No matter what Topuria says about him, things seem to be working out just fine for Tsarukyan lately. His popularity continues to grow, along with his reputation within the UFC fan base.
Tsarukyan is now in line for whoever wins between Gaethje and Topuria – no longer someone fans can ignore when talking about potential lightweight contenders.
