Like all NFL teams, the Buffalo Bills are at the point in year where team building takes priority. Each year around this time, Bills players take part in a tug-of-war for little more than bragging rights. While sometimes all that matters are such bragging rights, a video shared by Buffalo’s social media team actually reveals a few rather interesting things beyond Thursday’s shenanigans.
First, there’s Dalton Kincaid who seems to have bulked up — and who wasn’t wearing a knee brace during the tug-of-war bout. Kincaid can be seen running around almost as soon as the video begins. Though this is decidedly not football, it is an encouraging sign for the tight end whose dealt with frustrating effects and lingering effects of a PCL injury to his left knee since the 2024 NFL season.

That said, it’s wise to expect the team will continue treading carefully with Kincaid in an effort to better manage any related knee issues that arise this offseason and even during the 2026 campaign. Knee ligaments don’t always fit neatly into a one-size-fits-all injury management system, and it’s clear that Kincaid’s role with the offense has limited his ability to fully recover to this point.
Then there’s Landon Jackson, who also appears bigger in the right way. There’s been talk of him moving “inside” — as in along the 3-4 front defensive line. It’ s a move that could help play into his strengths as a football player, but Jackson remains a true project on defense after a lost rookie campaign.
Next, there’s O’Cyrus Torrence, Buffalo’s starting right guard. He’s clearly put in a massive amount of time and effort trying to perfect his physique. Here and among other media shared by the team, Torrence shows off quads that could make an Olympic sprinter cry, and defined arms that give one pause to his professional position. Torrence is hungry to earn a second contract, and the dedication he’s showing to his health could pay dividends toward his future with the Bills.
You also see Keon Coleman, the much-maligned wide receiver looking to shake the cold shoulder shown his way by much of Bills Mafia. For as often as Coleman is observed being silly, many may find it refreshing to see him with a bit of swagger while puffing his chest out. Okay, yes… it is just tug-of-war, and these guys are simply finding room to let off a bit of steam. It’s a big season for Coleman, and any sign he outwardly gives that he’s dialed in could go a long way toward repairing a relationship that too quickly went awry. In the end, however, all that matters is what Coleman accomplishes on game day.
Josh Allen makes a cameo, jumping up and down around 12 seconds into the video, and without the slightest bit of discomfort following a procedure on his foot this past winter. Notably, starting left tackle Dion Dawkins is absent from the party. Dawkins was recently seen wearing a walking boot on his left leg, but we don’t yet have information on the injury.
There’s plenty more to take in from the almost minute-and-a-half video. What else stands out to you?
