The Denver Broncos love what they have in franchise quarterback Bo Nix. Yet, they may be looking to weaponize him by strengthening their group of pass-catchers. Our most recent 2026 NFL mock draft sent a receiver to the Broncos in the first round, but rookies are no sure thing.
Broncos general manager George Paton may be looking to solve this position well before the draft arrives in April. While Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims, Pat Bryant, Adam Trautman, and Evan Engram are a solid core, there’s room for another playmaker in Denver’s offense.

Recently, NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger suggested that there is actually a “mutual interest” between the Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown, who may be on the trade block.
“I’ll be interested to see if the price drops on AJ Brown, if that’s still a possibility,” Baldinger said to DNVR Sports. “I know that there’s interest there on both sides. Maybe tepid, but some interest — at least enough to inquire to what the asking price is. (Eagles GM) Howie Roseman hasn’t really budged off of what he wants. But you know, maybe as time goes on here through the day, maybe there’s a renewed interest in that.”
Brown has also been linked to the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams. Ian Rapoport reported that the Rams may be out on a trade for Brown, but that the Patriots may still be involved. If so, they apparently have a competitor in Denver.
