While news that Cooper Pratt is headed to Milwaukee marks the biggest headline of the week in the Brewers minor-league organization, two Wisconsin Timber Rattlers mashers are reportedly headed to Class AA Biloxi, which stands to be a bigger challenge for Andrew Fischer and Josh Adamczewski.

Fischer, the team's 22-year-old first-round draft pick last year, belted his 20th homer of the year June 13, giving him the lead across the Midwest League (and most of the minor leagues). He had 50 RBIs, a .298 average and a 1.118 OPS, with 10 doubles to accompany his 20 home runs.

The No. 6 prospect in the organization has been playing third base with the Timber Rattlers. He does have 82 strikeouts in 246 plate appearances, a 33% strikeout percentage that will be under the microscope at Biloxi. But he still has a .443 on-base percentage.

Adamczewski, 21, has been a similar tour de force on offense, with nine homers, 38 RBIs, a 1.036 OPS, a .331 batting average and a 454 on-base percentage. The outfielder from Indiana was a 15th-round pick in 2023 and is coming off back-to-back seasons in the organization with an OPS greater than .900. His strikeout percentage is a manageable 25%.

They'll fit in nicely among the top prospects already in Biloxi, including Blake Burke (who hit a three-run homer June 14 for his 14th homer of the year), Bishop Letson, Dylan O'Rae and, of course, top prospect Jesús Made.

With the Brewers possessing one of the best – if not the best – minor-league system in pro baseball, we've been looking weekly at the happenings down on the farm:

Here's what happened last week

  • The Class AAA Nashville Sounds (41-28) went 3-3 against the Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays) and are two games behind the Memphis Redbirds for first place in the International League West. And guess who the Sounds are playing next week in the final week of the first half?
  • Class AA Biloxi (32-29) went 4-3 against Birmingham (Chicago White Sox) and has a half-game lead over Montgomery for first place in the Southern League's South Division with eight games left this week.
  • Class High A Wisconsin (33-26) went 4-2 against the Great Lakes Loons (Los Angeles Dodgers). They're five games behind first-place South Bend in the Midwest League's West Division.
  • Class A Wilson (34-29) is way out of contention in the Carolina League North but did go 3-3 this week against Hill City (Cleveland Guardians).
  • The rookie-ball Arizona Brewers (16-16) went 2-3 this week. The Dominican Summer League Gold team stands 3-7, and the Blue team is 6-2.

Standout performances from the 40-man roster

  • By now, you know Cooper Pratt is headed to Milwaukee, meaning the standout shortstop will probably make his major-league debut this week. He had a .735 OPS at Class AAA Nashville. He hit his sixth homer of the year this week and stole his 17th base.
  • Akil Baddoo was on a roll this week for the Sounds, with six hits in his four games, including a double, triple and two homers. He drove in 11 runs this week, walked five times and three stolen bases.
  • Luis Lara, newly added to the 40-man roster when he signed an extension with the Brewers this week, had a hit in each of his final three games this week, plus a walk.

Best performance last week from a Brewers top prospect

Tyson Hardin is having a great time at Triple-A.

The right-hander made two starts this week on the mound, beginning June 9 when he struck out 11 batters and walked none in six innings for Nashville, with three hits and one earned run allowed.

On June 14, he allowed two runs on three hits in five innings, with two walks and five strikeouts, a line that wasn't as flashy, but he still left the start with a 1.89 ERA in six Triple-A starts this season.

He has 36 strikeouts in just more than 33 innings pitched with the Sounds. The 24-year-old, a 12th-round draft pick out of Mississippi State in 2024, has arguably landed himself as the organization's top pitching prospect, in the same conversation with Letson. Hardin is ranked No. 16 in the Brewers' system by MLB Pipeline.

How Brewers prospect Jesús Made fared last week

The top prospect in Major League Baseball had a solid week for Class AA Biloxi against Birmingham, with nine hits in seven games. That included a double, two RBIs, two walks and a stolen base. The 19-year-old shortstop has a .280 average and a .785 OPS at Double-A.

How Brewers prospect Luis Peña fared last week

Again, Peña has gone missing from the Timber Rattlers lineup, last playing June 9 after his return from another strange bout of illness. According to the always-detailed nightly minor-league reports at Brewer Fanatic, he limped out of that game early after running down to first base. Peña has played in just four games in June.

How Brewers prospect Jett Williams fared last week

At Class AAA Nashville, the infielder/outfielder had four hits in 18 at-bats, including a home run June 10. He drove in four runs and walked three times with a stolen base. He's got a .694 OPS with six homers and 13 stolen bases.

How Brewers prospect Braylon Payne fared last week

The 19-year-old outfielder still has a .929 OPS at Class High A Wisconsin, and he hit his 12th homer of the year June 14. He also had a double among his four hits in four games this week, plus a walk.

A Brewers name you might want to learn

Ricki Moneys,a high-profile 17-year-old organizational newcomer from the Dominican Republic, had a great week, with seven hits in six games including two homers, two triples and a doubles. One of the higher-profile signings in the international class, he's playing for the Dominican Summer League Brewers Gold team. The 6-foot, 180-pound right-handed hitter is up to a .782 OPS after a slow start. He's played mostly shortstop but also played a game last week at third base. He drove in five on June 13 and had four RBIs on June 11.

Brewers minor-league highlights June 8-14

  • Speaking of the 2026 international class, Alexander Frias was terrorizing opposing pitchers again, hitting both a double and triple on back-to-back days June 12 and 13. He had a 4-for-4 day on June 12 with three runs and three RBIs. All told, he had nine hits in five games last week, and the 18-year-old has a 1.197 OPS in 95 at-bats.
  • José Anderson continued to mash homers for Class A Wilson, with three homers in five games for the Warbirds. The 19-year-old outfielder only has a .733 OPS, but he's up to 16 home runs and 46 RBIs. The problem: 104 strikeouts in just 250 plate appearances, a 42% strikeout rate.
  • In his last week before promotion from the Timber Rattlers, Josh Adamczewski had seven hits in five games, including a double.
  • It was a solid birthday week for Blake Burke, the 2024 first-rounder who had eight hits in seven games last week for Biloxi, including two doubles and a homer, with five RBIs and a stolen base. The slugging first baseman has an .852 OPS, with 14 homers, 40 RBIs and 15 steals. He just turned 23 on June 11.
  • Josh Knoth, the No. 21 prospect in the organization according to MLB Pipeline and still building himself up to a full workload after missing last season with injury, allowed three hits but no walks or runs in 3⅔ innings June 10, with five strikeouts. The 20-year-old is pitching at Wisconsin. He has a 2.95 ERA in 18⅓ innings.
  • Another promising pitching prospect, Jayden Dubanewicz, made his debut at Wisconsin on June 14 and worked five innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits, with no walks and five strikeouts.
  • Right-handed pitcher Jaron DeBerry, worked another strong six innings at Biloxi, with two earned runs on two hits and two walks. He punched out six. He's allowed a mere six hits and the two earned runs in his last 19 innings of work, with 15 strikeouts.
  • Brady Ebel had a two-homer week at Wilson, driving in five runs with a stolen base. The 18-year-old shortstop and 2025 first-round pick has a .777 OPS at Class A; he's ranked No. 13 in the organization by Pipeline.
  • Diego Frontado, a 17-year-old shortstop playing for the DSL Blue team, has been on fire, with seven hits in four games, including a double and two homers this week. He has a 1.136 OPS and .500 on-base percentage in 33 at-bats.
  • Luke Adams homered for Nashville and had another five hits in six games this week. He's up to nine homers in just 86 minor-league at-bats this year, good for a 1.003 OPS. He has six homers in just 22 games at AAA.
  • In addition to hitting for the cycle, Juan Martinez, with the rookie-ball Brewers in the Arizona Complex League, had five more hits in the other four games last week, including another home run. The 19-year-old infielder has a 1.080 OPS in 86 at-bats.
  • Tanner Gillis, a 25-year-old right-hander at Biloxi, allowed just two hits in six innings during his June 10 start, allowing one earned run with two walks and four strikeouts. For the year, Gillis has a 3.53 ERA and an excellent 0.95 WHIP in 43⅓ innings. Gillis joined the organization as an undrafted player out of Northern Kentucky last year.
  • Jefer Lista, an 18-year-old outfielder playing for the DSL Gold team, had two three-hit games last week, including one with two doubles and a homer. In 19 at-bats, he has 10 hits and nine RBIs.
