For the first time since 1998, Norway will strut their stuff on the grandest stage soccer has to offer.
Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland, of course, is Norway’s most recognizable player – but to describe them as a one-man team would be wrong.
Still, Haaland is clearly one of the biggest stars in soccer, so his movements across the United States during the World Cup schedule are always likely to attract attention.
Haaland watches game five of the Stanley Cup
Many regard Haaland as the greatest striker in the world but he was spotted enjoying another sport in the form of ice hockey.
The Norway squad were in attendance as the Carolina Hurricanes took on the Vegas Golden Knights in game five of their NHL play-off series.
Haaland was seen waving to the crowd at the Lenovo Centre in Raleigh, North Carolina. The 25-year-old was also seen swinging a Hurricanes rally towel above his head.
The Hurricanes won game five of their Stanley Cup series to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Haaland’s World Cup debut will come when Norway play in Iraq in Boston on June 16.

While Norway are a solid team, they clearly cannot match Haaland’s club side in Man City for sheer quality. As such, all eyes will be on how he deals with that.
It is worth mentioning, however, that the striker has scored 55 goals in just 50 caps for his country since making his international debut back in 2019.
