The Philadelphia 76ers can now turn their attention to the offseason as they look to add to the roster around their talented core of players. The Sixers were swept out of Round 2, but are led by the rising Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe as well as veteran stars Joel Embiid and Paul George. The possibility of going deep into the playoffs is still there.
The Sixers will need to add around the margins and be sure they have the right supporting cast in order to take that next step up the ladder in the East. That's the specialty of new President of Basketball Operations Mike Gansey as he thrived in that area of finding diamond in the rough type of players while with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

A mock draft performed by Bleacher Report has the Sixers selecting Arizona big man Koa Peat at No. 22:
It'll take the right kind of roster to bring the best out of Peat, who meets more the traditional definition of a power forward and not the modern one that often implies some shotmaking and ball-handling.
The Sixers might have that roster, though, and if they do, maybe they're getting a steal on a player many initially regarded as a lottery lock. They can squeeze shooting out of their other four spots on the floor and let Peat thrive as a physical play-finisher and clever connective passer.
Peat averaged 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists as a freshman for the Wildcats in 2025-26 as he was able to make an impact despite not having much of a jumper. Sixers Wire did a full deep dive on Peat, which can be read here, and looked at his strengths, weaknesses, and potential fit on the Sixers.
