Dylan Harper recorded 21 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Stephon Castle contributed 13 points, five rebounds and five assists. De’Aaron Fox and Devin Vassell chipped in18 points each.

However, Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby spearheaded New York’s spirited comeback. Anunoby knocked down the biggest shot of the game, tipping in a missed 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left. It gave the Knicks a 107-106 advantage, which was only their second lead of the night.

What’s next for Manu Ginobili and the Spurs?

The Spurs have no room for error. Head coach Mitch Johnson and his staff need to prepare the team to overcome its shortcomings in Game 4 and play with desperation on Friday. Ginobili is expected to be in attendance and be part of the San Antonio crowd cheering Wembanyama, Castle and Co. San Antonio has to win the next three games to win the championship, including two at Frost Bank Center.

It may seem impossible, but LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers pulled it off in 2016. Different teams, different circumstance, same goal. Wembanyama could etch his name in the history books if he leads his team to glory.
