LINCOLN, NE (CANARIES) — The Sioux Falls Canaries were dealt a fourth consecutive loss on Sunday, falling to Lincoln 12-2 in the finale of a three-game series.
The Saltdogs raced out to a 2-0 lead after one inning courtesy of a two-run homerun. Two unearned runs scored on a double in the bottom of the second before Chris Kwitzer answered with an RBI sacrifice groundout in the top of the third.

The 4-1 score held until Lincoln pushed four runs across in the sixth inning. Two scored on a two-out single before the hosts tacked on a two-run roundtripper.
The Canaries loaded the bases with one out in the eighth inning but were limited to one run on a fielder’s choice and the Saltdogs broke the game open with four runs in the home half.
Michael Curialle and Josh Rehwaldt each finished with two hits to lead the Birds offensively. The Canaries (12-11) open a three-game series at Sioux City on Tuesday.
