Saints bounced back from their heavy defeat in the Challenge Cup final against old foes Wigan at Wembley last Saturday, running in six tries.

Dani McGifford broke the deadlock for Saints early on, strolling in at the left corner after just four minutes.

Huddersfield fought back though and Maddie Hutchinson's converted try gave the visitors a slender advantage.

But Rachael Woosey put the home side back in front, selling a dummy to touch down before Giants responded once more through Molly Iceton's score.

McGifford ran in her second of the match, racing 50 metres clear to score in the left corner, and Faye Gaskin went over just before half-time to give Saints an eight-point lead.

Iceton grabbed her second moments after the break to pull Huddersfield back into the match momentarily but they conceded shortly afterwards as Woosey scored her second for Saints on their attacking left edge.

Amelia Brown made it a two-point game to make it a nervy final quarter for Saints but they sealed the win with five minutes remaining as Gaskin scored under the posts to make it three league wins from three.
