A report earlier in the weekend suggested that the Boston Red Sox weren't looking to trade Aroldis Chapman.
The latest news, though, points to the opposite.
Chapman, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale in a new article on Sunday, is very much on the trading block.
"Aroldis Chapman is expected to join his eighth different team, and potentially be in the postseason with his sixth different team," Nightengale wrote in his weekly column. "He is the top reliever available on every contender’s target list, converting 28 consecutive saves dating back to last season, one shy of his career record."

As Nightengale points out, Chapman has still been dominant. It isn't his fault that the Red Sox have struggled this season.
Boston is already on a new coaching staff after firing manager Alex Cora, and that move didn't give the Red Sox the jolt they were likely looking for.
They've got multiple high-quality relievers, including Chapman but also Garrett Whitlock and Justin Slaten. Relief pitching is one of the most obvious areas for a team that decides to sell at the trade deadline to deal from.
Chapman comes with a big name, a still-massive fastball and an array of stuff that is still supremely effective at getting hitters out.
A contending team could acquire him to be their for-sure closer, or a team already with a good closer could make their bullpen even scarier by adding Chapman to the mix.
Either way, it sounds like teams that want Chapman should keeping calling the Red Sox, because at least as Nightengale reports it, a deal is coming.
