Gavin McKenna goes nuts on the Wingate Bike during NHL combine.

The National Hockey League's Scouting Combine is in full swing and as you might expect the star of the show today will largely be projected first overall pick Gavin McKenna. There will be eyeballs all over McKenna today as he engages in different aspects of testing throughout the combine, and so far those eyes appear to be impressed.

McKenna just hit one of the most grueling tests of the entire event when he stepped on to the Wingate Bike, a 30 second test of performance, endurance, and stamina. McKenna looked as though he was absolutely tearing into the bike while he was peddling and the results after the fact would indicate as much with McKenna blowing his competition out of the water.

First here is a look at McKenna hitting the bike:

For some context before we get into the numbers, scoring an 11.0 or higher on this test puts you into the category of what is considered an elite athlete and safe to say McKenna meets that criteria.

Players were ranked on a display based on peak power rankings and based on a photo shared by TSN's Mark Masters it appears McKenna is well ahead of the competition. McKenna recorded a 15.8 on the test followed by Simas Ignativius who recorded a 14.1, Chase Harrington a 13.9, William Hakansson a 13.9 as well and another 13.9 from Kayden Lemire.

Of course it is still very early and reading too much into these numbers is not advised, but nonetheless it is an impressive performance from McKenna especially with the young forward under so much pressure and scrutiny at today's event.
