The Texas A&M Aggies have the No. 1 recruiting class in the country and are showing no signs of slowing down. On Friday, they landed their fourth commitment of the week, successfully flipping three-star safety Errol Kerns III from the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks.

Kerns announced the news on social media, picking them over several other elite programs. He was set to officially visit the Indiana Hoosiers with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines, and Wisconsin Badgers also pushing. Mike Elko and Co. were able to win out for the Indianapolis, Indiana, product after he officially visited last weekend.
After much prayer, thought, and conversations with my family, I have decided to withdraw my commitment from Miami (OH) and officially commit to Texas A&M University. I want to thank Coach Elko, Coach Williams, and the entire Texas A&M staff for their belief in me and for making College Station feel like home. Thank you to my family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. I'm excited for what's ahead and ready to get to work!
He is ranked as the No. 743 overall player and No. 72 safety in the 247Sports composite. The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder is also the No. 14 player from Indiana.
Kerns had a productive junior season at Lawrence High School, where he also contributed on special teams as well as in the secondary. He finished the year with 90 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and five pass breakups.
He is the fourth safety that Texas A&M has landed in the 2027 recruiting cycle, joining five-star prospects Kamarui Dorsey and JayQuan Snell and three-star prospect Loia Valade. The Aggies now have 19 players committed, with five of them being five-star prospects.
