WICHITA, KAN. (KSNW) — The Kansas high school track season was coming to a close Saturday after multiple weather delays on both days of the state meet.

Competition was starting up again at 10 p.m. after the latest delay.
Andale swept both the boys and girls team titles in Class 4A. Bishop Carroll won the 5A girls championship, and Hesston claimed the girls 3A crown. Hutchinson Trinity topped the leaderboard in 2A boys.
Here are the rest of the class leaders, as of midnight:
- 6A: Olathe North (boys and girls)
- 5A boys: St. James Academy
- 3A boys: Holcomb
- 2A girls: Hoxie
- 1A: Axtell (boys) and Clifton-Clyde (girls)
Numerous local athletes accomplished first-place finishes. Hesston’s Ashley Lehman claimed the titles in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes. She also won the pole vault with a record 12 feet, 8.25 inches.
Wellington’s Dru Zeka notched four crowns: 400-meter dash, 100-meter hurdles, high jump and long jump.
Ava Claasen from Kapaun won both the 1,600- and 3,200-meter races.
