The Tigers and Knights – the top two seeds at this weekend's Auburn regional — were originally scheduled for a 2 p.m. CT start time.
Whenever this one starts, it'll be the first meeting between of the weekend between Auburn and UCF, and they'll square off with their seasons on the line.
Auburn dropped its first game of regional play against 4-seed Milwaukee, eventually beating 3-seed NC State on Saturday to advance to Sunday's first contest. UCF beat the Wolfpack in its regional-opener, but the Panthers delivered another upset Saturday evening, beating the Knights 13-6 to advance to Sunday evening's championship game.
The winner of Auburn-UCF will get a rematch with Milwaukee, scheduled for 7 p.m. CT, and it'll need to defeat the Panthers twice if it wants to win the regional.
Unless Milwaukee wins the last game Sunday, there will be one more "if-necessary" contest played Monday, which has yet to have a first-pitch time announced.
