This marks another black-centric alternate for the franchise, coming directly after the retirement of the “Jersey Jersey” black third uniform.
Introduced in 2021 as the team’s first official alternate uniform, the black design gained strong popularity among fans for its modern take on state pride and regional identity.
It received a proper send-off during a limited farewell tour in the 2025-26 season when New Jersey wore the uniform for 11 final games.
The NHL’s Hometown Remix program, produced by Fanatics, will deliver unique hometown-inspired alternate jerseys across all 32 teams.
