Former Lady Vol plays 25 minutes in Los Angeles' win at Las Vegas

Los Angeles (3-3) defeated Las Vegas (4-2), 101-95, on Saturday at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Former Lady Vol Rae Burrell played 25 minutes for the Sparks. She scored 10 points and converted 3-of-7 field goal attempts, 2-of-6 three-point attempts and 2-of-2 free throw attempts. Burrell also recorded two rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Kelsey Plum led Los Angeles in scoring with 38 points.

The Sparks will next play on Friday at Washington. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT (Ion).

Burrell played at Tennessee from 2018-22. She appeared in 110 games, including 47 starts, and averaged 10.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 22.6 minutes per contest. At Tennessee, Burrell was named to the 2021-22 USA TODAY Preseason All-America Third Team.

She was selected by Los Angeles in the first round of the 2022 WNBA draft (No. 9 overall).
