But things were more than destructive than desperate at a Catholic school in Ohio over the hoarding of seats.

An argument over seating at the kindergarten graduation ceremony at Queen of Apostles School in Toledo escalated to a full-blown brawl between several of the so-called adults in the room who were there to witness the little ones advance to the first grade.

Jessica Anderson, 28, allegedly began screaming at other parents who were trying to take some of the seats she was saving, ABC affiliate WTVG reported.

Parent Craig Mays told the outlet that he tried to calm Anderson down before five of her male family members jumped him.

“As I’m arguing with Jessica, I literally don’t remember anything, I just know I was sucker-punched,” Mays said.

Video obtained by the outlet shows a man lying on the ground while getting punched by a number of people as others tried to break up the attack.

One woman arrested, another hospitalized

Mays’ former partner tried to step in, resulting in Anderson allegedly yanking her by the hair and dragging her away.

Mays’ ex was hospitalized and required stitches, according to an affidavit obtained by CBS affiliate WTOL , after her face was slammed into a metal chair, the video shows.

Police were eventually called in and arrested Anderson. She is facing a felony assault charge.

Children were safe, at least

A spokesperson for Central City Ministries, which operates the school, said no students were in the room during the fight, according to WTVG.

The graduation ceremony was postponed and school administrators are working to reschedule the event.

Mays, who works as a kindergarten teacher at another school, told the outlet he hopes the kids get a second chance to shine in another ceremony.

“I know how hard those kids work, I know how hard those teachers work, for us to ruin it and be selfish like that, it literally breaks my heart that I can’t watch my daughter graduate today.”
