The moon shot traveled 378 feet and had an exit velocity of 106.3 miles per hour.
It was the second leadoff home run of the season for the Guardians and the second tater in as many days for Martinez, who homered from the left side of the plate Tuesday against the Angels before his righty solo shot to lead off Wednesday's game.
The home run had a 26 degree launch angle and was the seventh of the season for switch-hitter. It's 2-0 after one inning.
Angel Martinez stats with Guardians
Martinez entered Wednesday's series finale against the Angels hitting .260 with a team-leading six home runs (tied with teammates Chase DeLauter and Jose Ramirez).
The leadoff homer May 13 was his seventh of the season, giving him sole possession of the team lead — barring any taters from J-Ram or DeLauter to match him.
Martinez now has seven homers in 41 games played this season. He hit 11 home runs in 139 games played last season, showing an impressive power surge early in 2026.
