Five weeks ahead of the first FIFA World Cup game to be played in Canada, the soccer body revealed a star-studded musical lineup before the soccer game between Canada’s national men’s team and its opponent, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara, Elyanna, Jessie Reyez, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream, William Prince and more are among the artists who have been announced as scheduled to perform.
The ceremony will start at 1:30 p.m. ET, which is about 90 minutes before the scheduled 3 p.m. kickoff on June 12. Spectators at Toronto Stadium — otherwise known as BMO Field — will have an active role in the ceremony.
“The opening ceremony in Toronto will be a powerful reflection of Canada’s identity and the energy surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino was quoted as saying in a news release. “Through music, culture and unforgettable performances, we will welcome the world with a celebration that is uniquely Canadian while also connected to a larger story unfolding across Mexico and the United States. It will be a moment of pride, unity and anticipation as Canada takes its place on football’s biggest stage.”
With the FIFA World Cup being held in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, each country will get its own opening ceremony.
Set to perform in Mexico City on June 11 before the opening game of the tournament are Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, Maná and Tyla.
At the first game in the United States, on the evening of June 12 in Los Angeles, Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema and Tyla will headline the ceremony, with additional artists to be announced.
Each ceremony will be produced in creative partnership with Balich Wonder Studio .
