The Chaparrals received contributions from all five golfers to capture the UIL Class 6A state championship at TPC San Antonio with a 10-stroke win over Southlake Carroll. Vandegrift came in third place, 15 shots behind Westlake.
It was Westlake's fifth girls state championship in school history.
The Chaps were led by Emmy Yang, who had a two-day score of 153 (78-75). She was joined by teammates Ava Osborne (82-73-155), Lindsay Kneer (76-79-155), Rachel Turk (81-75-156) and Lillian Cubriel (88-78-166).

The Vandegrift girls had a one-stroke lead over Westlake after Monday's first round, but the Chaps made up ground Tuesday with the best four-person day two score (301). Vandegrift fell in the standings with a day-two score of 317.
Addison Bandelier had a two-day score of 155 (78-77) to lead the Vipers. She was joined by teammates Ava Frazier (78-80-158), Kensley Cova (79-81-160), Michaela Partridge (81-79-160) and Navya Modi (89-84-173).
As for individual honors, Katy Jordan's Carolyn Liu won with a two-day score of 142 (71-71), five strokes ahead of runner-up Eileen Lee of Plano West (76-70-146). Laredo United South's Alyssa Esparza (72-75-147) and Vista Ridge's Anvesha Gulhane (72-75-147) tied for third.
In Class 5A, Comal Pieper won the team championship with a seven-shot victory over Frisco Reedy at Legacy Hills Golf Club In Georgetown. Alamo Heights finished third, eight shots back. The Rouse team of Ameya Katari, Maddie Logan, Olivia Seo, Quincy Azel and Stella Yoon finished 11th.
In Class 4A, Andrews won the title with a 14-shot win over Glen Rose while Frisco Panther Creek took bronze, 15 shots behind the leader at Legends Golf Course in Kingsland. The Lago Vista team of Adriana Owen, Bailey Burlew, Grey Henson, Jenna Janson and Violet Wheeler finished in fourth place.
As for 4A individual honors, Taylor's Rylen Darter won the two-day event with a score of 140 (69-71), seven shots ahead of Avery Glanzer of Fort Worth Benbrook.
