Edoardo Motta’s blunder gifted Federico Bonazzoli the opener in the first half, but Tijjani Noslin’s entrance changed the entire script. The Dutchman provided the assist for Gustav Isaksen’s equalizer, and then went on to score a spectacular last-gasp winner.
Here are our player ratings for Lazio, who earned their 13th Serie A win of the season by beating Cremonese 2-1.
Lazio XI (4-3-3)
Edoardo Motta – 4.5
The young shot-stopper had his worst outing since joining Lazio in January. He conceded the opener after fumbling what should have been an easy save, and almost gifted Bonazzoli a second by getting dispossessed. Produced two decent saves late in the match, but it remains a day to forget.
Adam Marusic – 5.5
The Montenegrin offered nothing in the attacking phase, but beat Warren Bondo to the ball to prevent a rebounded goal.
Alessio Romagnoli – 6
A largely solid display from the experienced defender who kept Antonio Sanabria at bay.
Oliver Provstgaard – 5.5
Bonazzoli gave the Danish defender a few scares. He looked shaky overall and almost gifted Alessio Zerbin a goal with an overhit pass to Patric.
Nuno Tavares – 7.5
A superb outing from the Portuguese left-back, who instigated the equalizer out of nothing with a glorious box-to-box run. He also made vital interventions at the back.
Toma Basic – 6
The Croatian was happy to do the dirty work, but aside from a few flicks, he didn’t distinguish himself in the possession phase.
Patric – 5.5
The makeshift Regista ran more than any other player in the first half and fought hard for every ball, but couldn’t drive Lazio forward, so he made way for Rovella after the interval.
Kenneth Taylor – 5.5
The Dutchman was expected to be rested, and he certainly looked like a man who could do with a breather ahead of the Coppa Italia final, as he currently lacks his usual drive.
Gustav Isaksen – 7
The winger was having a largely forgettable evening, but once again showcased his clinical touch by keeping his cool and placing the ball in the top corner.
Daniel Maldini – 5
A wasted opportunity for the false 9, who only lasted 45 minutes. He found himself isolated and was easily bullied off the ball by Federico Baschirotto, Sebastiano Luperto and Matteo Bianchetti.
Mattia Zaccagni – 5.5
The Lazio skipper didn’t enjoy his best display, but at least he put 60 minutes in his legs following his return from injury. He’s still searching for his magical touch.
Substitutes
Tijjani Noslin – 8.5
A super-sub performance with every sense of the word. Set up the equalizer for Isaksen with an unselfish, yet clever touch, before scoring the winner with an outrageous curler.
Nicolo Rovella – 6.5
An encouraging outing from the Italian midfielder, who improved Lazio’s rhythm following his introduction. His return is a major boost for the team’s Coppa Italia chances.
Pedro – 5.5
The veteran tried to make things happen, but he wasn’t on the same wavelength as his teammates, so his plays went begging.
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru – 6
The Nigerian added strength to the middle of the park.
Boulaye Dia – 6.5
The Senegalese had little time to make an impact, but provided the assist for Noslin’s winner with a shrewd assist.
