New England Patriots fans won't take long warming up to Utah offensive tackle Caleb Lomu.
The standout offensive lineman was selected by the Patriots with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on Thursday. During the live broadcast, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell walked to the podium to reveal that the Patriots had traded up from No. 31 with the Buffalo Bills.

After the camera showed Lomu celebrating at home with family and friends, it switched to the intro for the B-roll of his college highlights. Lomu is seen doing a fun twirl, dusting himself off and motioning to the camera. In less than 24 hours, the clip has already received well over a million views on social media.

Make no mistake, Lomu means business on the football field.
The 21-year-old left tackle didn't allow a single sack last season. It's an impressive stat for a player the Patriots are looking to move to the right side of the line to play opposite Will Campbell.
Veteran Morgan Moses is currently the starting right tackle in New England, but that could change quickly once Lomu is up to speed at the NFL level.
