We have reached Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft for the Cleveland Browns, with today’s action kicking off tonight at 7:00 pm ET. The first round on Thursday saw Cleveland make a trade (which helped them add an additional pick today), but still come away with an offensive lineman-wide receiver combination. 6:48 PM: As we get ready to kick off the second round shortly, let me include some more beautiful shots taken of the draft in Pittsburgh last night:
More images from yesterday's incredible first day of the NFL Draft in #Pittsburgh, including one of the fireworks, the Steelers logo on downtown, a closeup of that record setting draft, and a wide angle view from the Steel Building showing the city lit up black and gold. pic.twitter.com/51vydjtCbX

Also, according to the NFL, 320,000 fans attended the NFL Draft festivities, breaking the previous record that was set in 2024 when Detroit hosted the draft. I guess I can say that I was part of history by attending it.

6:35 PM: We also have the results in from yesterday’s first-round grades that were voted on exclusively by the DBN community. How did Spencer Fano and KC Concepcion fare, as we get ready for Day 2?

6:00 PM: Wondering how the national media graded the first-round selections by the Cleveland Browns? Of course you are! We have you covered right here.
5:29 PM: Changing the first round from 10 minutes per pick to 8 minutes per pick paid off, as the first round went 36 minutes faster than it did a year ago, and the first time in the Roger Goodell era that it went under three hours. Next up, I wish the TV crews could be more in sync with the timing of when picks are actually made. When I was in person at the draft, it just is silly to see the Browns being on the clock, and yet they are just starting to announce on TV who was taken at No. 7 overall.
A fun crisp round one last night which lasted 2 hours and 53 minutes. The move from a limit of 10 minutes to 8 for clubs to pick appeared to have worked. The first round in Goodell’s first draft in 2007 lasted 6 hours and 8 minutes, more than double the length of last night. pic.twitter.com/yemhpwnqOh

5:02 PM: Building off our report earlier, Tom Pelissero reports that the Browns are among the teams who have called teams near the top of the second round about moving up.
Trade action could continue into Round 2, where the 49ers are getting calls about the No. 33 pick. @gmfb@nflnetworkpic.twitter.com/yzZDQsvLgq

2:55 PM: Shout out to The Draw Play, which every year does comic drawings for each of the draft picks in the first round. The theme this year was cursed Madden covers, so here are the Browns’ two representatives:
2:42 PM: Adding on to what Jared said below, Jordan Schultz is reporting that the 49ers, Cardinals, and Bills — who own picks 33, 34, and 35 — have received plenty of calls about teams wanting to trade up to grab a player. That tells you that there are a handful of prospects who teams feel are first-round quality players who can contribute right away.
Schultz highlights two names in particular heading into round two: S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren and WR Chris Bell. McNeil-Warren could be one of those players teams are trying to trade up for, while Bell has that risk-reward value to him. There are some Browns fans who would love for the team to come away with one of those guys, but the odds of landing Bell figure to be higher than McNeil-Warren.
Sources: The #49ers, #Cardinals and #Bills have received calls about potential trades at the top of Round 2 tonight, setting up what could be a busy trade night.

It makes sense as Round 1 ended with five of the final seven picks being traded. pic.twitter.com/NBgJD4ekAl
2:27 PM: I’ve been told a lot of trade conversations are going on, including that the Browns are interested in turning a third-round pick into a second-rounder depending on how the board falls (obviously). Cost would be interesting. Could they take what they got from KC (a 3rd and a 5th) and make it into a 2nd? Lots of talent on the board.
12:00 PM: I was able to get this published for you guys sooner than expected: my NFL Draft video tour from yesterday in Pittsburgh! If you couldn’t make it, I walk you through the vibes of the fan experience:
I also wrote a few more details about my experience.
11:17 AM: Last night, a little lost in the shuffle of things was the press conference by head coach Todd Monken and general manager Andrew Berry. Here are some notes from what we heard:
- Monken said Fano will play left tackle on the line, and he’s not concerned that he hasn’t played there in a couple years.
- As far as the rest of the offensive line goes, Monken said they just had minicamp, but with all of the additions they’ve made to revamp the line, they’ll work through figuring out exactly where everyone else will line up.
- Berry immediately called out that Concepcion is “the best punt returner in this class” and that both selections will really help the offense. Berry dismissed his concern about Concepcion’s drops by saying every receiver has a couple drops, and they look forward to the electricity he’ll bring with the ball in his hands.
- The Browns got several calls for the No. 6 pick, and also some for when they were at No. 9. However, the offers at No. 9 were not strong enough to move out again. Berry talked about how they had three prospects (presumably tackles) who they felt strong about, but they also thought the teams at No. 7 and No. 8 didn’t quite need a tackle, so that’s why he risked moving back to still pick up Fano:
“You know, that’s part of the risk. You know, when we were on the clock at 6, you know, what I told the room is, hey, there are really three guys left that, you know, we’d be elated with, you know, if we had to sit and pick. Moving back three spots and having an idea of where Kansas City was going. We knew we were going to get one of those three guys. We also felt the teams behind us, you know, Washington they extended Tunsil, they drafted Josh Connerly in the first round last year. New Orleans drafted Kelvin Banks, you know, at nine last year and then Fuaga the year before that. So we felt pretty comfortable that a tackle wasn’t going to go unless a team traded into it. But if one did, you know, we felt good with the group of players that were in front of us.”
10:20 AM: Here are the remaining players available on the DBN Browns Big Board, heading into Day 2. Note: This Top-50 big board was compiled by Browns fans leading up to the draft, over the span of several weeks. The Browns’ actual selections of OT Spencer Fano and WR KC Concepcion were, crazy enough, ranked No. 9 and No. 23, respectively, on the DBN Big Board, which closely aligns with the draft pick they were taken with.
Cleveland has the chance to stack up on wide receivers with the likes of Denzel Boston and Chris Bell available, but what about the fall in cornerback Jermod McCoy? Cleveland has been known to take chances on guys. If not him, though, there’s also D’Angelo Ponds and Avieon Terrell. There’s also safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, who a lot of fans are keeping an eye on. Andrew Berry hit on his second-round picks last year in a major way with Quinshon Judkins and Carson Schwesinger, so we know the right second-round selections can have a profound impact.
10:05 AM: We have a bunch of Day 2 coverage for you.
- Barry Shuck looked at some of the top prospects available (with some alignment to the Browns’ needs) who they might be considering with their second- and third-round picks.
- Matthew Wilson broke down why OT Spencer Fano is “a perfect fit for the Browns’ offensive line.”
- He also broke down why WR KC Concepcion “makes so much sense for Cleveland.”
Speaking of Concepcion, here is what Pro Football Focus said about the pick after it was made:
9:57 AM: The Browns’ currently own one second-round pick and two third-round picks this evening. If there’s a player Cleveland likes near the end of the second round, they could always try to package those two third-round picks together to see if someone bites.
- Round 2, Pick 39
- Round 3, Pick 70
- Round 3, Pick 74 (from the Chiefs)
Teams will have 7 minutes to make selections in the 2nd round and 5 minutes to make selections in the 3rd round.
8:30 AM: Good morning again, Browns fans! Yesterday, I made the drive from Cleveland to Pittsburgh to enjoy the NFL Draft Experience, and then drove back to Cleveland. I’m hoping to have a video tour of the draft festivities for you to watch today, but in the mean time, let’s recap what general manager Andrew Berry was able to accomplish:
- While on the clock at No. 6, the Browns moved back three spots via a trade with the Chiefs, which allowed Cleveland to add a 3rd and 5th round pick in this year’s draft. No offensive linemen had been taken up until that point, so the Browns knew they’d still be able to get a top tackle at No. 9, which they did in the form of Utah’s Spencer Fano.
- A few wide receivers came off the board before the Browns’ next pick, but they stayed at No. 24 and took wide receiver KC Concepcion, which is who I had Cleveland select during the SB Nation mock draft.
Fans have been grading each of the Browns’ first round selections, and we’ll reveal the results later today. Be sure to get your vote in this morning!
