A 59-year-old Toronto man is facing numerous charges after being accused of five break-ins over a four-month span.
Toronto Police said investigators allegedly connected five separate incidents across the city between mid-January and Thursday with the first happening on Jan. 15 at about 5:30 a.m. at an apartment building in the Cosburn-Pape Aves. area.

Police said the suspect allegedly forced entry into the building and a “number” of storage lockers and took “numerous” personal items before fleeing.
Among other incidents reported to police:
— The suspect allegedly forced entry into a residence on Jan. 15 at about 11:05 p.m. in the Avenue Rd.-St. Clair Ave. W. area and rummaged around. Police said the suspect fled after being spotted by the victim and nothing was stolen.
— The suspect allegedly gained entry into an apartment building on Jan. 25 at about 2:15 a.m. in the Broadview-Danforth Aves. area, entered a unit and rummaged around. Police said the victim, who was sleeping at the time, woke up and yelled at the suspect.
They said the suspect fled and personal items were stolen.
— Another apartment building was broken into on March 13 at about 11 a.m. in the Adelaide St. E.-George St. area with the suspect allegedly gaining access to two separate units, stealing money and personal items before fleeing.
— An apartment building in the King St. E.-Princess St. area was broken into on Thursday at about 2:15 a.m. with the suspect allegedly forcing entry into a unit. Police said the victim woke up and the suspect fled without stealing anything.
Mark Hardy is wanted on two counts of theft under $5,000, four counts of possession of break-in instruments, five counts of disguise with intent and 18 counts of break and enter.
He is 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds with a medium build, bald head, clean-shaven face and green eyes.

Cops probing downtown sexual assault
Police are warning the public of an early morning sexual assault in downtown Toronto.
Toronto Police said they responded to a call on Sunday at about 6:45 a.m. in the Church St.-The Esplanade area, where the suspect approached the victim from behind and forced them toward an isolated area.
The victim was sexually assaulted before passersby intervened and the suspect fled.
The suspect is a Black man who is about 25 to 30 years old and 5-foot-10 with a thin build. He was wearing a green or grey jacket, a grey hooded sweater, dark baggy pants, dark Nike shoes and a black Lacoste backpack with white lettering and a green alligator logo.
