The Indianapolis Colts have a new trade candidate on their hands in early April.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the franchise has agreed to seek a new home for its 30-year-old cornerback, Kenny Moore. Unsurprisingly, NFL journalists haven’t minced their words on the most logical trade suitors for the Valdosta, Georgia native.
In CBS Sports’ Jordan Dajani’s eyes, the Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Dallas Cowboys should express interest in Moore this offseason.
“The Green Bay Packers already traded for a Colt this offseason in Zaire Franklin,” Dajani stated. “Let's make it two-for-two and get Moore to Green Bay. Franklin would probably stand on the table for his former teammate.”
“The Kansas City Chiefs' secondary looks pretty different these days. They traded star cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Rams; Jaylen Watson then followed him to Los Angeles; safety Bryan Cook signed with the Cincinnati Bengals; and backup cornerback Joshua Williams joined the Tennessee Titans. Steve Spagnuolo would value a leader like Kenny Moore, who brings experience and versatility to the slot.”
“This Dallas defense ranked dead last in pass defense last year with 251.5 passing yards surrendered per game, so Moore would be a welcomed addition to a young room that's looking to get back on track for.”
For an undrafted CB, Moore has carved out a respectable career for himself at the highest level of football. Of course, the 2021-22 season helped put him on the map, as he finished the year with 102 tackles and four interceptions in 17 contests.
Moore’s next three campaigns were solid, but after a down 2025-26 season, it appears that the Colts are prepared to earn their partnership with the Valdosta State product after nine seasons.
If the Packers, Chiefs, and Colts are on the hunt for an experienced, high-IQ cornerback who’s proven to be a reliable tackler and relatively durable throughout his career, they should inquire about Moore and work toward completing a beneficial deal.
