Boston Celtics ground New Orleans Pelicans with 144-118 blowout win (PHOTOS)

The Boston Celtics jumped out to an early lead vs. the New Orleans Pelicans at TD Garden this past Friday (April 10) evening, and never trailed again in the near-wire-to-wire blowout victory, the Celtics coming away with a 144-118 shellacking of the Pels.

It was the 55th win of Boston's campaign in what was seen by many as a gap year at its start, and saw the Celtics tie the all-time 3-point record for a team in the win as well with a total of 29. The shot margin was actually tied at 96 each, but Boston shot 49 percent from beyond the arc while the Pels hit just 28 percent from deep. The battle of the boards was tied at 44 each, but the hot perimeter shooting from the Celtics was more than enough to force the issue.
