With national tours on pause for an Easter weekend break, a handful of DirtonDirt’s Top 25 drivers are still expected to compete across select regional events Thursday through Saturday.

Second-ranked Hudson O’Neal and seventh-ranked Brandon Overton are the lone top 10 drivers with confirmed plans, as O’Neal’s slated to compete in the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals tripleheader across Tennessee and Virginia — I-75 Raceway on Thursday, Wythe Raceway on Friday and Tazewell Speedway on Saturday — aboard Kevin Rumley’s No. 6 machine.
Also racing this weekend's Spring Nationals tripleheader is No. 21 Dale McDowell. Given their southern roots, there’s a chance No. 13 Chris Madden and No. 17 Mike Marlar make an appearance during Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals action this weekend, but no plans had been announced as of Thursday.
Last Saturday's Spring Nationals winner Garrett Smith, Cory Hedgecock, Sam Seawright and miniseries points leader Tucker Anderson are among those expected to race this weekend's Spring Nationals events.

A rainout of the MARS Late Model Series doubleheader at Maquoketa (Iowa) Speedway wiped out what was shaping up to be an intriguing weekend pitting fifth-ranked Ricky Thornton Jr., eighth-ranked Brandon Sheppard, 14th-ranked Garrett Alberson and 23rd-ranked Brian Shirley. Sheppard and Shirley’s plans are now unconfirmed, while Alberson is among many drivers opting to take the weekend off.
While no official destination has been confirmed for Thornton, a Tuesday Facebook update from his Koehler Motorsports team noted they “will update on next weekend’s plans as soon as we know where we are headed,” signaling the Chandler, Ariz., driver is likely to race somewhere this weekend.
Fresh off a pair of fourth-place finishes on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, 22nd-ranked Josh Rice will stay close to home for a Northern All Stars doubleheader in Kentucky. Rice is set for Friday’s Jeff Gullett Memorial at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky., and Saturday’s Jackie Boggs Memorial at Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, Ky.
With no Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series or World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series events scheduled, most of the Top 25 are taking the weekend off: No. 1 Bobby Pierce, No. 3 Nick Hoffman, No. 4 Devin Moran, No. 6 Jonathan Davenport, No. 9 Ryan Gustin, No. 10 Max Blair, No. 11 Tim McCreadie, No. 12 Tyler Erb, No. 15 Daulton Wilson, No. 16 Drake Troutman, No. 18 Ethan Dotson, No. 19 Clay Harris, No. 20 Cade Dillard and No. 24 Kyle Bronson.
