Mark your calendars, April 17th is the day that Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson will finally work out for NFL teams.

Tyson has been nursing a hamstring injury for the better part of the last five months. He suffered the injury in the middle of October in 2025 and here at the end of March is still not quite right. NFL teams, scouts, and draft pundits will finally get their wish as Tyson is scheduled to work out.
For the Browns, this is a much-desired workout. It isn't hyperbole to say that Tyson is potentially the number one wide receiver option in this year's NFL Draft, if it weren't for the injury history. Not only did Tyson experience a Hamstring injury this year, but he was also a victim of a very serious ACL injury in 2024.
Regardless of that, if Tyson shows that he is not hindered by any of his past injuries, then he is going to become a very coveted prospect very quickly.

Tyson dealt with a hamstring injury during the season and did not participate at the combine, but teams will get a look at him prior to the draft.

Why Tyson makes sense for the Browns
In a draft that is very deep at the wide receiver position, there may be a run on the weapons early in the first round, and truthfully, it could start at pick No. 6. What the Browns do with that pick will send ripple effects through the first round.
The two real options there are tackle with a guy like Monroe Freeling, or wide receiver with a guy like Carnell Tate, or a healthy Jordyn Tyson. If the Browns do the latter, they will light the wick on what will be a near-immediate run on wideouts.
Each of the teams directly behind the Browns is going to be in the wide receiver market, except for the Bengals at pick No. 10. Washington, New Orleans, and Kansas City could all go wide receiver, and in my opinion, that is why the Browns should take a wide receiver with their No. 6 pick.
No matter what, Cleveland and the other 31 NFL teams will have their eyes on Arizona State's pro day when Tyson is working out. If he does fall to the Browns, then Cleveland will be on the cusp of one of the great sports stories in history, with him and his brother, Jaylon Tyson, being a forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
That's far down the road; for now, he just needs to test well to prove to all of these teams that he can be a difference maker in the NFL.
