The Gators had one last chance to win the game but couldn't get a shot off.
This is Iowa's first trip to the Sweet 16 since 1999.
Florida was the defending NCAA Tournament champion and the No. 1 seed in the South Region. Iowa is the 9-seed.
Folgueiras was involved in a brief tussle in the first half, on a held-ball situation with Florida's Alex Condon. Both players were called for technicals.
