Police in York Region are seeking the public’s help to identify a trio of suspects following an armed robbery in Markham.
According to York Regional Police, officers responded Thursday around 2:50 a.m. for reports of a robbery inside a business in the area of Woodbine and 14th Aves.

It’s alleged three suspects, armed with firearms, entered the business and forced patrons into a single room before threatening the victims and demanding cash and cellphones.
The suspects fled in a waiting dark-coloured sedan, southbound on Woodbine Ave., cops said. There were no reported injuries.
The first suspect is described as a Black male with a thin build and was wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, black shoes, black Nike gloves, a black balaclava and carried a handgun.
The second suspect is described as a white male with a thin build and was wearing a blue hooded sweater, black pants, white shoes, black gloves, a black balaclava and carried a handgun.
The third suspect is described as a Black male with a thin build and was wearing a black jacket, a dark blue hooded sweater, black pants, black shoes, one black glove on his right hand, a black balaclava and carried a grey backpack.

CORRECTIONAL OFFICER CHARGED
Halton Regional Police say a correctional officer working at a Milton jail has been charged following a month-long investigation.
In early February, police said an investigation began into a correctional officer who was alleged to have brought contraband into Maplehurst Correctional Complex.
Police said Adrian Deonarine, 33, of Mississauga, was charged on Thursday with one count of breach of trust by public officer.
Deonarine was released on an undertaking with a future court date in Milton.

U.S. TIP LEADS TO ARREST FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE
Toronto Police have charged a 37-year-old man following a child exploitation investigation sparked by a tip from authorities in the U.S.
According to police, a search warrant was executed Thursday in the area of Woodbine Ave. and Danforth Rd.
It’s alleged child sexual abuse and exploitation material was found on seized devices.
Police said the accused allegedly participated in online chats with an underage female and sent her a number of explicit images and videos.
Zachary Leveque-Wilson, of Toronto, was charged with three counts of access child sexual abuse and exploitation material, two counts of possess child sexual abuse and exploitation material, and one count each of telecommunication with a person under 18, telecommunication with a person under 16, make available child sexual abuse and exploitation material under 18, make available child sexual abuse and exploitation material under 16, invitation to sexual touching, and make available child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

AURORA MAN ACCUSED OF SEX ASSAULTS
York cops are appealing for additional victims and witnesses after a 27-year-old Aurora man was charged in connection with a trio of sexual assaults in Aurora.
Police say, on Thursday between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., the suspect was in the area of Yonge and Wellington Sts. when he allegedly approached three separate victims, unknown to him, and touched them for a sexual purpose.
Officers arrested the suspect a short distance away.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims and, due to the time of day, additional witnesses who have yet to spoke with police.
Ethan Smith is charged with three counts of sexual assault.
An image of the accused was released by police.

GRAFFITI SUSPECT WANTED IN HAMILTON
Hamilton Police are requesting the public’s help in an ongoing investigation into multiple incidents of graffiti mischief that occurred last October.
Police say an unidentified suspect was captured on security video spray-painting the side of a building in the Centre Mall area and used the tag “Casper.”
Investigators believe this suspect may be responsible for several similar occurrences in the area.
Police are asking anyone who may recognize the suspect or has information related to these incidents to contact the Division 20 Crime Manager’s Office at 905-546-2949.
