Alabama's seed, first round matchup revealed for NCAA Tournament

The Alabama Crimson Tide will officially be a No. 4 seed during the NCAA Tournament.

The Tide will face the Hofstra Pride in the opening round of the tournament. Alabama struggled immensely during the SEC Tournament against Ole Miss, as the Tide will undoubtedly have to play at a much higher level against the Pride. Star guard Labaron Philon Jr. will look to stay red hot on the offensive end of the floor, as Philon has dominated on a nightly basis throughout the entire 2025-26 campaign.

Alabama will be ranked as a No. 4 seed in the Midwest Region when the tournament begins. Hofstra, who won the CAA conference tournament, had an excellent season despite being listed as a No. 13 seed, as the Pride recorded an overall record of 24-10 and a record of 12-6 throughout conference play.

Alabama’s first round matchup against Hofstra will take place in Tampa, Florida on Friday, March 20, as the Tide will look to make yet another run through March Madness.
