Titans agree to terms with Austin Schlottmann on one-year contract

The Tennessee Titans continued to make moves on the first day of the NFL’s legal tampering window and addressed an area of need.

After missing out on some of the top tier center’s in this group of free agents, Tennessee turned its attention to a versatile interior lineman who could compete to become the starting center. NFL Insider Tom Pelissero reports that Tennessee has agreed to terms with New York Giants center Austin Schlottmann on a one-year deal.

The seven-year veteran originally entered the league as an undrafted rookie free agent out of TCU with the Denver Broncos in 2018, and made it onto their active roster and starting lineup as a guard in 2019. After his time in Denver, he has played for the Minnesota Vikings and the Giants, at both guard and center.

The Titans still have some work to do on the interior of their offensive line after releasing Lloyd Cushenberry and having both Kevin Zeitler and Corey Levin as unrestricted free agents, and likely aren’t finished adding to the unit.
